Police are investigating after a body was found in an Upstate New York canal.
The Buffalo News reports a body was discovered in the Black Rock Canal on Saturday and pulled from the water by the Buffalo Police Department’s Underwater Recovery Team. The body was taken to the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine their identity and a cause of death.
Police did not provide any additional details, including the person’s age or gender, how the individual was found or how long their remains had been in the water, near the former Breckenridge toll barrier on the Niagara Thruway (I-190)…
