Shane Cronin, 30, arraigned on attempted kidnapping charges

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) – An Illinois man was arraigned Wednesday morning for the alleged attempted kidnapping of a student at the Dr. Charles R. Drew Science Magnet School 59 in Buffalo back in February.

In Erie County Court on Wednesday, 30 year old Shane Cronin pleaded not guilty before County Judge James Bargnesi.

According to District Attorney Michael Keane, on Feb. 11th, Cronin allegedly entered the school and approached two children in the hallway. An employee witnessed him trying to leave with one of them and confronted him. Cronin then allegedly punched her in the face and ran out of the building, before police were able to apprehended him…
