With Banditmania taking over Western New York, lacrosse fans all over the 716 watched with bated breath as Rax and the Bandits won game one of the NLL Finals in Buffalo on Friday, May 16, 2025. The Bandits, who came back from behind to shut down the Saskatchewan Rush, were able to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series before heading to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada for game two.

While Bandits fans far and wide were looking forward to watching the Buffalo Bandits raise the National Lacrosse League Cup high inside the SaskTel Centre on Sunday, May 18, 2025, that wasn’t in the cards as the Rush were able to squeak out an 11-10 victory over the Bandits, forcing a deciding game three.
