4 local nursing homes reach contract agreements

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Workers at a handful of local nursing homes have reached new three-year contract agreements with their employers after they originally planned to participate in a week-long strike late last month.

Nurses and staff at Schofield Residence, Safire Rehabilitations of Northtowns, Williamsville Suburban Care Center, and Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Williamsville were among those at 15 nursing homes planning to strike following alleged unfair working conditions.
