Emergency demolition ordered on Rhode Island St.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A vacant structure on Buffalo’s West Side is set to be demolished on an emergency basis, according to Buffalo Fire Commissioner William Renaldo.

The building, at 461 Rhode Island St., was in danger of “imminent collapse” on Sunday night, officials said, and neighboring buildings had been evacuated. The building was undergoing structural renovations recently, the owner told officials.
