Buffalo Weather Alert: Mostly Sunny Father’s Day with Highs Near 77°F and Pop-Up Showers Inland

Buffalo, N.Y. – Western New York residents can expect a pleasant Father’s Day, with mild temperatures, dry conditions, and pockets of sunshine—especially north of the Thruway. Skies will be cloudier this morning but are expected to brighten through the afternoon, though a stray inland shower could pop up across higher elevations.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, lowland areas such as Buffalo, Rochester, and Niagara Falls will see highs in the mid to upper 70s. In contrast, the higher terrain—including areas in the interior Southern Tier—will remain cooler, with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s. Breezes from the northeast may reach up to 15 mph near the Niagara Frontier, keeping conditions comfortable but slightly gusty at times.

Cloud cover is expected to persist longer in southern areas like Olean, Wellsville, and Jamestown, where breaks in the clouds may be limited until evening. Most sunshine will favor communities along and north of the New York State Thruway corridor…
