BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The City of Buffalo will be using a recently enacted state law to take over the Buffalo Grand Hotel, over a month after WIVB News 4 reported that the owner is hoping to reopen the long-vacant hotel in mid-summer.
On Dec. 30, 2021, a large fire broke out and caused millions of dollars in damage to the Buffalo Grand Hotel. It has been sitting empty ever since.
