A weeks-long investigation by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Intelligence Unit resulted in the arrests of four men following the execution of multiple search warrants in Buffalo on June 25th, according to Sheriff John Garcia.
Authorities conducted a search at a residence on Townsend Street where they arrested 41-year-old Demetrius Jones of Buffalo and 50-year-old Thomas Szymanski of Lackawanna. During the search, deputies reportedly discovered approximately 3.5 grams of suspected fentanyl along with drug paraphernalia and cash.
Jones and Szymanski now face several felony charges including 3rd and 4th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of 2nd degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Szymanski was charged with 2nd degree criminal impersonation and obstructing governmental administration after attempting to mislead investigators.
