Jazz series at the Richardson Hotel cancelled

BUFFALO, N.Y. — JazzBuffalo announced Monday they the popular Jazz series at the RIchardson Hotel has been cancelled.

JazzBuffalo cites, “the ongoing transition and stabilization efforts surrounding the Richardson Hotel Property” as the reason for the cancelling the series. They say they tried to find a solution, but said the Richardson-Olmsted Campus and its Board of Directors have chosen to halt the series.

Jazz at Richardson has become one of the most cherished summer traditions in Buffalo, drawing hundreds of people and creating one of the most community-engaged events on the campus since its rebirth. While we understand the complexity of managing historical properties and changes in licensed hotel operations, we regret that the board did not explore a path forward to preserve this significant cultural experience,” they said in an email…
