BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Cascades, a Canadian company, announced Tuesday that it will be closing its Niagara Falls paper packaging facility by early September.
The closure affects 123 employees and is estimated to cost around $5 million. The plant, located at 4001 Packard Road, will end its production no later than Sept. 3, 2025, after 38 years of service, the company said.
Cascades said in a news release that the decision is in line with its goal to support growth “by focusing on profitability and customer service levels.”…
