BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison on charges related to a murder and two other attacks in 2024, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
Emanuel Stokes, 29, shot and killed 34-year-old Nicholas Calhoun in the area of Kehr Street and Urban Street during the early morning hours of May 12, 2024.
Stokes also carried out two other attacks, one of which was a shooting and the other a stabbing. The shooting, which happened on the 100 block of Orlando Street, was on April 16, 2024 and the stabbing, which happened on the 200 block of Mills Street, happened just a few hours after Stokes killed Calhoun…
