Buffalo Zoo welcomes baby boy ocelot born May 13

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Zoogoers finally have an exciting update on a new furry friend. The Buffalo Zoo revealed in a Facebook post that the baby ocelot born May 13, is a boy after his first check-up.

The baby ocelot weighs around two pounds. This is the first baby of Anahi, a nine-year-old ocelot.

This is the third ocelot born at the zoo in the past 10 years, which zoo officials say is encouraging since ocelots are endangered in North America, with only around 100 said to roam in the wild. However, their populations remain high in Central and South America…
