21st Annual Queen City Jazz Fest

With news of the Jazz at Richardson being “halted” in 2025, it’s perfect timing to announce the line-up for The Colored Musicians Club & Jazz Museum’s 21st Annual Queen City Jazz Fest. Not only does this jazz festival provide all of the underpinnings for a solid jazz foundation in Buffalo, this event is also symbolic of this city’s endurance and perseverance as a whole.

Situated in the heart of downtown, close to the CMC’s significant Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor, that is re-emerging as a destination unto itself, the festival speaks to the city, its people, its resilience, and our collective hopes and dreams for the future. Any and all jazz lovers – or music lovers in general – should not hesitate to mark their calendars for this cultural-infused festival that is taking place at Lafayette Square this summer, as the historic home of the CMC (the longtime setting of the festival) is lovingly restored and rejuvenated.

Save the date and join The Colored Musicians Club & Jazz Museum on Saturday July 26th at 1pm at Lafayette Square in Downtown Buffalo for the 21st Annual Queen City Jazz Fest.

G. Thomas Allen and Brent Birckhead will headline the festival with opening performances from Amari Hawkins, Joel Nicholas, and the Dominic Missana Quartet.
