Buffalo Police officer injured in downtown crash, taken at ECMC

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo Police cruiser and another vehicle collided at a downtown intersection on Friday night.

The crash happened shortly past 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Street and Chippewa Street. That’s where a B District officer with the Buffalo Police Department sustained arm and leg injuries and was later taken to Erie County Medical Center to be treated.

The injuries were not considered to be life-threatening, a City of Buffalo spokesperson told 2 On Your Side late Friday…
