ICE Buffalo announces arrests, warns people of recent scams targeting the elderly

BUFFALO, N.Y. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, after recent arrests, are sounding the alarm on possible scams that are targeting the elderly.

ICE officials said two recent arrests — and three in the last nine months overall — are connected to “illegally present Chinese nationals attempting to defraud elderly New York residents out of tens of thousands of dollars.”
