BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — On July 23, Gin Blossoms will be playing Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, ON as part of their current tour. WIVB spoke with guitarist Jesse Valenzuela ahead of the show.
Valenzuela said he always has a nice time playing in the region and said the show will be terrific. Nearly 40 years since the band’s formation, he spoke to his mindset on his chosen career path.
“It’s been a lifetime of work, but this is the choice we made,” he said. “I don’t necessarily look back too often. I don’t listen to our own records. I play them all the time — I play the music — we’re probably good for 55 or 60 shows a year, which is way down from where it was five years ago, seven years ago, 10 years ago. So it’s nice in that regard. I guess I don’t really think about it because I’ve lived it.”…
