BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The driver who hit and killed a 21-year-old woman last year on Elmwood Avenue was given five years of probation for falsifying DMV documents, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Monday.
Mohammed Tanbir, 28, hit and killed Sydney Lohr, who was crossing the street south of Forest Avenue after finishing her shift at Cole’s around 11 p.m. on July 15, 2023. Lohr, a student at St. Lawrence University, died at the hospital.
During the investigation, it was found that Tanbir submitted false forms to the DMV that cited a medical exemption that allowed him to legally install tints to his windows. He did this in 2020, 2021 and 2022, officials said…
