CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Local lawmakers are sounding the alarm on what they’re calling a growing outbreak in violent crimes being committed by youthful offenders in Western New York.
On Monday, Assemblyman Patrick Chludzinski and local elected officials from the Town of Cheektowaga held a press conference to call for passage of legislation to help address the outbreak.
The push from Chludzinski comes after a stolen car incident that occurred last week. According to police, three local teenagers raced through public streets and the Cheektowaga Town Park at excessive speeds.
