Man charged with attempted murder for stabbing officer in Amherst

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been charged with attempted murder among other charges after body camera footage showed a man jumping from a house and stabbing a police officer in Amherst, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Rayquell M. Grant, 26, was charged Friday with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, and second-degree assault following the incident with officers on Saturday.
