School’s out for summer, but your kids can’t spend their whole vacation on their iPads. YouTube can be educational, but they need more stimulation, like a zoo show and tell with exotic animals, or a dazzling circus performance with balloon animals. Sounds hard to find though, right?

With a (free) movie morning at Regal Cinemas and a (free) jump and play day at Urban Air Adventure Park, there are tons of opportunities to entertain your kids. The only work you have to do is binge-watch the other Kung Fu Panda movies as a family in preparation for the Kung Fu Panda 4 screening.

Other events include an instructional mini-set and freestyle build session with LEGO and a power play day at Dave and Buster’s. Literally the only con is that you risk having more LEGOs to step on barefoot around the house. But isn’t it worth it to see your children basically being full-fledged engineers at such a young age?

It’s easy to dismiss the mall as a winter activity, but — let’s be honest — we all need a break from this heat. Some kids’ programming and — dare we say — a parents-only shopping spree make for a perfect summer escape…
