Buffalo city leaders responds to MLK Jr. Park splash pad complaints

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Trash, dirty diapers and even reports of people breaking into a city splash pad after hours. That’s what one community activist says was happening at MLK Park and other areas around Buffalo, but videos shared online may have sparked a turning point.

Just days ago, community members say the splash pad at MLK Park was filled with trash, including used diapers tossed on the ground and even in the drains.

Community members posted videos online showing the mess. One of those videos, shared dozens of times, was taken by Nate Boyd who says the areas has seen a dramatic improvement…
