Calling for investigation after woman murder in South Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A tragic murder in Buffalo is sparking outrage and renewed calls for accountability. A Buffalo councilmember is now asking New York’s attorney general to launch a full investigation, saying the legal system failed to protect a woman from a man with a violent past.

Lovejoy councilmember Bryon Bollman sent a letter to New York State Attorney General Letitia James asking her office and the Erie County District Attorney to investigate how and why a man was released multiple times, even with a history of violent offenses.
