Governor Hochul invests $36M to cut gun violence in New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Gov. Kathy Hochul is directing $36 million to law enforcement agencies statewide to fight gun violence.

The funding comes through the Gun Involved Violence Elimination initiative, or GIVE. Locally, Erie County will receive $6.1 million, Niagara County $2.1 million, and Chautauqua County just over $700,000.
