Buffalo man charged after 9-year-old chihuahua suffers skull fractures

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man is facing animal cruelty charges after a dog was hospitalized for skull fractures and other serious injuries back in May, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said.

Officials said Deandre Rogers, 30, allegedly hit a 9-year-old chihuahua named “Bella” inside a Geary Street residence on May 10. Bella was taken to BluePearl Pet Hospital with serious injuries and was later transferred to the SPCA.
