Fewer Americans crossing border from Western New York into Canada

BUFFALO, N.Y. — 2 On Your Side has aired several stories this year about a downturn in the number of Canadians crossing the border into Western New York.

According to a tourist attraction in Ontario it’s the same situation going the other way.

“It’s noticeable, both in terms of traffic and ticket sales. We haven’t seen it this quiet since the pandemic,” Maury DiMaurizo, Chief Operating Officer of City Cruises Canada, which operates tour boats and dinner cruises in Niagara Falls, Toronto, and the Thousands and which is now experiencing a “sharp decline” in U.S. visitors…
