Jack’s Extra Fancy takeover at Ballyhoo

As if one of Buffalo’s best bars and eateries could get any better, this coming Wednesday, Ballyhoo will be orchestrating a cocktail event led by Jacks Extra Fancy from Rochester. The special occasion was put together by Ballyhoo manager Danny Licker, after the bar team from Jack’s Extra Fancy reached out to see if there was an opportunity to team up together to trade takeover sessions at each of the establishments.

“Jack’s had reached out to us back in February about us doing a pop up there, which we did,” said Danny. “It was a lot of fun. We did a pop up last fall with the boys from Nickel City (Austin TX). This Wednesday (July 30) at 8pm, our friends from @jacksextrafancy will be coming to takeover our bar. Come show your love for our 585 homies! They’re appearing with some fresh cocktail creations. They have created 4 cocktails that we will be featuring:”

  • “Half Life” – Green Chartreuse, pineapple, lime, topped with high life.
  • “Wedding bells” – Gin, Campari, Orgeat, peychaud bitters, prosecco
  • “Paperclip” – Mezcal, grapefruit, Aperol, ginger
  • “El Dorado” – Bourbon, Pasubio, Sherry, Blueberry syrup

Truth be told, we don’t do enough to promote each other’s cities, so kudos to Jack’s Extra Fancy for reaching out, and showing some brotherly love.
