NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A journey more than 500 miles long found its finish line in Niagara Falls this weekend, as more than 250 cyclists completed a ride across New York state, all in the name of finding a cure for cancer.
The annual ride raises money for cancer research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Riders began their trek on Staten Island, at Wagner College, and pushed across the state through hills, headwinds, and heat.
“There’s hills, there’s just so much to this. When we turn west at Albany, there’s headwinds, so the riders have just overcome things day in and day out to get here,” said Andrea Gregory, Director of special events for Roswell Park Alliance Foundation…
