Wheatfield man dies after getting stuck under rotary cutter in Wheatfield

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Wheatfield man is dead after getting stuck under a rotary cutter in Wheatfield on Friday morning, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said a 911 call reported an unresponsive male, identified as 67-year-old William Sacher, stuck under an agricultural rotary cutter around 10:50 a.m. Deputies arrived to the 2500 block of Lockport Road and attempted lifesaving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
