How Buffalo’s Framework Project Blends Art And Community Spirit

You may have noticed some peculiar picture frames positioned all over Buffalo recently. If you’re wondering, they’re here for a good cause.

They’ve been positioned at City Hall, at the central terminal, even at the Buffalo Naval Park. They’re always pointed at specific locations to highlight a beautiful view of Buffalo. But what are they for?

The frames are part of “The Framework Project” (season 2)

The Framework Project is a public art initiative that has been created to not only help people capture some of the areas iconic views, but also to spotlight the work of some important organizations that “uplift Buffalo’s diverse communities.”

They’re simple repurposed antique frames that have been placed around the city for you to use and enjoy. Along with the frames are QR codes that will help people learn about the project and the featured organization that is associated with that frame.
