Heatwave Possible For Parts On New York State

Mother Nature is cranking up the heat this weekend in Western New York, but will be be enough for a heatwave?

While it will be plenty warm for you to sweat, will the temperatures reach the point where we can say “heatwave” in the 716?

What Is A Heatwave?

According to the National Weather Service, a “heatwave” can be declared after a region gets three or more days of high temperatures that are 90 degrees or more.

Using that methodology, along with the long-range forecast from the National Weather Service in Buffalo, there will be a chance of a heatwave in Western New York.
