BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — What will the Buffalo Police Department look like under the leadership of a new mayor? That’s what we sought to find out as we sat down with both candidates to discuss the issue of transparency and how they’d reshape the department if elected.
Over the course of the past few months, there have been a couple instances of crime where, if it were not for journalistic efforts, Buffalo residents would never know about it.
A prime example of this is an incident that occurred on June 17 when two men were arrested and charged for allegedly passing a gun back-and-forth in the same Tops grocery store on Jefferson Avenue where the racist mass shooting took place three years ago…
