Health Code Violations In Niagara County Last Month

Niagara County has published a list of restaurants that had health code violations during their latest inspections in July. Sadly, some restaurants aren’t concerned with the health and safety of their customers. That’s why it is so important to support the restaurants that passed their health code inspections.

In Indonesia recently, 360 people got sick from eating free meals. They consumed free lunches from President Prabowo Subianto’s flagship free meals program. Apparently, the program has seen a string of food poisoning cases. Food-borne illnesses have affected 1,000 people in the program since its launch in January. The Indonesian government says it will pay for any medical attention needed by those affected.

Unfortunately, here in New York, many people do not have healthcare, so getting food poisoning could be deadly and costly. That’s why it is so important to eat at restaurants that passed their inspections with zero violations. There are so many types of food-borne illnesses that can make you and your family sick. Each month in Niagara County, health inspectors visit local restaurants and grade them.

Some restaurants, like the ones below, pass with zero health code violations. Other restaurants have multiple violations, such as “Food not protected during storage, preparation, display, transportation, and service, from potential sources of contamination (e.g., food uncovered, mislabeled, stored on floor, missing or inadequate sneeze guards, food containers double stacked).” Or worse, some have critical violations like, “Toxic chemicals are improperly labeled, stored, or used so that contamination of food can occur.”
