While the calendar says there’s just under a month left in the summer season, you could not tell that if you have been outside in Buffalo and Western New York over the last few days.
Cooler temperatures have moved into the region during the last week of August 2025, and temperatures aren’t expected to warm back up for a few days. While this is abnormal for this time of year, it also has not been the typical Buffalo summer either.
The region has had several days of extremely hot and humid weather, so much so that many people thought that a nearly 80-year-old weather record would be broken. However, that’s not the case, and the anniversary of the hottest day in Buffalo history is upon us once again, and that record still stands.
