Deftones bring huge performance and the smooth sounds of metal to KeyBank Center: show review

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — From the start of Monday night’s Deftones performance at KeyBank Center, the Sacramento metal band had the crowd head-banging along, all the way through the 20-song set.

The band started with “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away),” to which nearly the entire arena began jumping along, shaking the walls. The second song, “My Own Summer (Shove It),” sparked the formation of a circle pit, moshing, and crowd surfing, with no audience lull at any point in the show.

Multiple times throughout the set, frontman Chino Moreno let the crowd know he wasn’t tired, despite the physicality of his performance onstage. He wasn’t kidding, proving his endurance with each consecutive song…
