BUFFALO, N.Y. — Dog Ears Bookstore and Cafe is hosting a free after-school youth program for students in grades 3-8 from Oct. 14 through Dec. 18.
The program will be divided by grade level:
- Tuesdays – Grades 3-4
- Wednesdays – Grades 5-6
- Thursdays – Grades 7-8
All sessions will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m., upstairs in the bookstore, and will be taught by literacy specialists and New York State Certified English Language Arts teachers. All class materials will be provided, as well as a small snack. There is a 20-student limit each day; however, depending on enrollment numbers, students may have the chance to participate on multiple days.
Adults do not need to attend with their child, but should be mindful of pick-up and drop-off times. Anyone who wishes to stay is welcome to wait in the cafe, which will be open for food and beverage purchase…
