ROCHESTER, N.Y. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection is planning to install a surveillance tower in Rochester to enhance border security. The tower would provide 24/7 surveillance of the area.
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection representative said they are evaluating potential spots along Lake Ontario for the tower. The agency filed a proposal in 2022 to build around 280 towers and fix existing ones.
