Agreement aims to reduce amount of sewage entering Niagara River’s watersheds

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, alongside state Attorney General Tish James and the Buffalo Sewer Authority, announced on Friday an agreement to improve water quality along the Niagara River.

It will address water quality violations, implement a long-term modernization plan and upgrade the area water infrastructure.
