BUFFALO, N.Y. — University at Buffalo’s clean energy master plan is receiving $68 million from New York State to decarbonize its central utility plant, create energy hub and thermal energy networks, and build geothermal wells to phase out fossil fuel-based systems.
The funding is part of New York’s $1 billion Sustainable Future Program, which aims to accelerate capital projects that focus on creating a greener future.
