BUFFALO, N.Y. — When you’re facing a medical emergency, time is of the essence, but in the emergency room, wait times can often be hours long. Despite many getting into the medical field to help people, some say they face issues that impede that work.
“Once something becomes a corporation, you definitely are going to start looking at the red line and that’s where we’re at right now,” said Erie County Medical Center registered nurse Lona DeNisco.
