BUFFALO, N.Y. — For months, Buffalo Common Council members have been trying to get answers from the city’s police commissioner about one of the most controversial police scandals in recent memory.
At a meeting of the Police Oversight Committee on Wednesday, Buffalo Police Commissioner Alphonso Wright was pressed about the criminal case involving Erie County Sheriff’s Chief of Narcotics D.J. Granville and his sister-in-law, Buffalo Police Lt. Lucia Esquilin.
