For those who live in parts of Western New York, there seems to be a growing issue with the taste of the water they are getting from their taps and faucets. The summer and early fall were extremely dry and this is just another addition to the ongoing water woes.
I noticed that the posts online were growing and getting more and more comments about the nasty taste of water and it appears that Erie County has now addressed it.
In a recent post on Facebook, the Erie County Water Authority said: “This is a common occurrence this time of year. Certain conditions exist and compounds can be produced which may impact odor and taste. It is important to understand that these conditions are harmless and pose no threat to human health and safety”.
