What do you think of when you hear the phrase “stuffed peppers?” In Western New York, you really have to read the description of what you’re getting before you order because it could be one of two common types. One is made with bell peppers and then stuffed with a mixture of tomato sauce, beef, and rice. That one is often served as a main dish. The other is normally made with a cubanelle or banana pepper and then stuffed with a cheese/cream cheese/sausage mixture. That kind is normally served more as an appetizer.
This weekend, we’re getting ready to celebrate the best of the best when it comes to stuffed peppers in Western New York at Pepper-Palooza.
What is Pepper-Palooza?
This is the first year of Pepper Palooza. It’s a full-on event being held a the Wings Flights Of Hope Meeting Place on California Road in Orchard Park.
