Gina Doyle, a probation officer with the Erie County Department of Probation and resident of Orchard Park, has received the 2025 Director’s Award for Distinguished Service from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Office of Probation and Correctional Alternatives. Doyle was recognized for her actions earlier this year when she negotiated the peaceful surrender of a probationer in Cheektowaga, New York. She spoke with the individual by phone for 20 minutes, leading to a safe transfer to local police.
The award was presented to Doyle at the 2025 New York State Probation Officer’s Association Conference in Fairport.
