West Seneca lowers speed limit to improve residential safety

WEST SENECA, N.Y. — Drivers in West Seneca will need to slow down. The town has officially lowered its speed limit from 35 to 30 mph on all town-maintained roads.

The change, which took effect immediately, applies mainly to side streets, including French and Schultz roads. According to town officials, the adjustment is part of an effort to enhance safety for residents and reduce speeding in residential areas.

The new limits do not affect state or county roads such as Union, Orchard Park, and Transit, where existing speed limits remain unchanged…
