BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been charged with second-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of an incident without reporting resulting in death, and tampering with physical evidence following the death of a Buffalo woman in July, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Monday.
Officials allege that Wendell M. Brooks, 44, was driving a Tesla Cybertruck on William Street around 10 p.m. on July 17, when he allegedly struck 37-year-old Paache Spikes-Redding at the intersection of William Street and Benzinger Street. Spikes-Redding was pronounced dead at the scene.
