Mandella Market reopens under city conditions

BUFFALO, N.Y. — After months of being shut down, Mandella Market on Buffalo’s East Side has reopened. The city said it’s giving the owners another chance, if they stick to certain conditions.

Mandella Market on Broadway closed in September after city officials found code and licensing violations.

That happened around the same time a viral video surfaced, showing what witnesses said was a woman being attacked by employees inside. City leaders say the owners have addressed those issues and made several changes before reopening…
