BUFFALO, N.Y. — Darryl Boyd died of cancer earlier this year, just months before a trial he fought for to go after the County of Erie for his wrongful conviction.
Lola Allen, Boyd’s niece, said “This was the moment my uncle had been waiting for since the day he got locked up at 16.”
