Buffalo legal department backs $3.3M settlement in Molly’s Pub case

BUFFALO, N.Y. — 2 On Your Side has learned new information about a major settlement recommended for approval by the City of Buffalo’s legal department, with more than $3.3 million connected to the 2014 incident at Molly’s Pub.

The money would go to the family of William Sager Jr. — who was pushed down a flight of stairs and later died — and to his friend Donald Hall, who was handcuffed after trying to help him. It would be for civil rights violations and trauma…
