CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — An online effort to catch child predators in Western New York has gone viral on social media and has now led to an investigation with the Cheektowaga Police Department.
It’s often described as an amateur version of “To Catch a Predator,” a reality show featuring sting operations and decoy actors used to lure pedophiles into arrest by leading them to meet up with someone they believe is underage for sexual purposes.
