Buffalo home destroyed in deadly fire set for demolition Monday morning

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The home at the center of a devastating weekend fire on French Street is set to be demolished Monday morning, according to the contractor overseeing the work.

The fire, which broke out on Saturday, Nov. 29, claimed the lives of two children and sent several other family members to the hospital. The tragedy has prompted an outpouring of support from the community.

A donation drive is scheduled Saturday to help the family rebuild. Organizers say they are seeking new clothes, gift cards, and toys for those affected. The drive will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 77 French Street, a couple of doors down from where the fire happened…
